Poor circulation puts the foot at great risk for a range of problems and those with it need to take great care to prevent minor cuts and scratches from becoming more severe problems. If you have poor circulation you really need to watch the diet, have your doctor check your cholesterol and start a gentle exercise program to prevent it getting worse and hopefully reverse it somewhat.
You also need to take precautions. The biggest problem with the poor circulation is the risk of some damage not healing. A minor scratch can become a major wound that does not heal. So good footwear is needed to make sure that no problems happen as a result of poor fitting footwear. Care needs to be taken to prevent trauma or damage. If a wound does develop, it needs appropriate care, preferably from a health professional to prevent it becoming a more severe problem. The worst case scenario is that an amputation of a limb is needed if it gets that bad. The risk is not worth it and early treatment of any problems is extremely important.
There is some good advice here from ePodiatry on poor cicrulation and links for advice here.
