Its not that common in the foot, so that means all those who treat people with foot problems need to be very vigilant to make sure that they get the diagnosis of the foot pain right as the consequences of a wrong diagnosis here can be disastrous. Most cases of cancer in the foot are just simple benign skin lesions that are easy to manage. The more serious ones are when there is a metastasis that has spread to the foot from a malignant cancer elsewhere. these are much more harder to diagnose and much harder to treat and often have a poor prognosis.
